An Enduring Quest for Knowledge
People often see a resume as a list of accomplishments, but I’ve always seen my life as a continuous story of learning—a quest to understand both the world around me and the world within. This path has been my greatest teacher, and I’d like to share a few of its key milestones with you.
My Quest for Knowledge: From Engineering to Human Well-being
My academic journey began with a fascination for the logical, structured world of technology. I pursued a B.E. in Electronics & Communications from Osmania University, where I was honored to be the Batch Topper, and later an M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering from NIT Warangal. These years were foundational, and I was grateful to receive recognition like the JRF from CSIR and a State Special Merit Scholarship, which fueled my passion for learning.
A pivotal moment came in 2001 when I was selected by the British Government as a British Chevening Scholar. This incredible opportunity allowed me to study at the Manchester Business School in the UK and broadened my perspective immensely. It was here that the seeds were sown for connecting technology with management and, eventually, with human well-being. To continue this exploration, I am currently pursuing my PhD in Digital Wellness from IIT Mandi, furthering my research into this critical area of modern life.
A Commitment to Community and Inner Growth
For me, a career in technology was never just about code and computers; it was about people. This belief has guided my spiritual and community initiatives, which I consider to be the heart of my work.
My personal spiritual practice began in 1993 with Raja Yoga Meditation, a discipline that has been my anchor for decades. This inner exploration inspired me to help create spaces for others to find balance in their own lives. I founded the SPIR-IT Summit Conferences (https://www.spiritsummit.org) and have been deeply involved in organizing “Spirituality in IT” retreats (https://bkitwing.org/ets), creating opportunities for professionals to reconnect with themselves. This passion for sharing practical tools for well-being also led me to design India’s first 2-credit, 30-hour Digital Wellness course for university students. My work with the Brahma Kumaris, as a member of several wings and a senior member for the India IT team, is a core part of this mission.
This desire to contribute also extends to my local community. I was a founding member of the MMTS Travelers group in Hyderabad, where we worked with government authorities to improve local train infrastructure for commuters. I also had the privilege of serving as a Board Member for the Right To Walk Foundation, advocating for safer pedestrian rights in the city. These experiences have taught me that change begins with taking responsibility for the world around us.
